Safety

At Midway, Safety is not just a department. It is a behavior that’s been adopted and installed into everything we do. Workplace safety is the responsibility of everyone and although we strive for continuous improvement in many aspects of our work, Midway places an emphasis on the reduction of safety related incidents by ensuring the proper precautions are taken within every process.

In addition to the Operator Qualification’s administered by the Northeast Gas Association, Midway provides training for employees where they become proficient in hazard recognition and remediation regarding Asbestos Awareness, Silica Awareness, Electric Hazards Awareness, and Trench Safety. Furthermore, company procedural requirements for Personal Protective Equipment, Fall Protection, and OSHA standards including HAZWOPER qualifications are renewed within the appropriate frequency to ensure that each employee has the tools necessary for performing all functions of their work safely and effectively.
